Import
The "File/Import…" dialogue allows to
- Generate a new slip with the content of a file,
- Add the slips from another slip-box to the current one (added slips
will be assigned a new slip ID),
- Import the contents of a tab-delimited (*.txt) or a comma-delimited
(*.csv) file (the latter is intended for Excel exports from Zettelkasten).
For the last option a window is displayed in which the columns of the file
to be imported can be assigned their slip fields.
If multiple columns of the source file should be imported into the same
slip field the "Item No within SlipBox Field" specifies in which order they
will be added to this field. Each row of the source file is translated into
a separate slip.
Export
Via "File/Export…" slips can be written to an RTF or a plain
text file. Options are to export
- The current slip,
- The slips currently
shown in the Search View,
- The flagged slips,
- The whole box.
Furthermore, the export dialogue allows to select the slip fields
that will be exported. The slip ID is always exported.
