Keyword Scent View

The keyword scent view is a tree browser of all keywords in the box. Clicking on the triangle or pressing the <cursor right> key expands the item and shows keywords related by scents. The shown keywords are the ones that co-occur with the selected one (ie there is at least one slip on which both keywords occur together). Following these scents is performing an associative search. This reveals (potentially new) associative connections between keywords. Double clicking on a keyword switches to the search view and adds the keyword to the search.

The Duplicates/No duplicates buttons determine whether a keyword is displayed multiple times within one path. In the picture below, if the Duplicates setting was used, democracy would also be listed as a sub-entry of England, resulting in the scent path democracy/England/democracy.

The raw search started by double-clicking a keyword in the tree browser adds the keyword(s) to the search, depending on the status of the button to the top middle of the tree browser. If it is selected, the whole scent path that leads to this keyword is added to the search. Otherwise only the selected keyword is used.

A double click on a keyword in the inspector selects this keyword in the tree browser.
